Undersheriff Barnes has nearly three decades of experience keeping Orange County residents safe since being hired as a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in 1989. Since then Barnes has served at almost every level of the department eventually working his way up to be the Chief Operating Officer of the fifth largest Sheriff’s Department in the country in 2016.
