Orange County Attorneys Association Announce Their Support
ORANGE COUNTY, CA – – Today Undersheriff Don Barnes announced receiving the endorsement of the Orange County Attorneys Association (OCAA) in his campaign to become the next Sheriff of Orange County. The OCAA is just the latest key group to endorse Undersheriff Barnes in the election.
Barnes’ status as front-runner in the election has been buoyed by the number of notable endorsements from key leaders and organizations from all over Orange County including retiring incumbent Sheriff Sandra Hutchens. A complete list of endorsements can be found at www.BarnesForSheriff.com.
In a letter to Barnes, OCAA President Mena Guirguis stated, “Your outstanding track record in leadership at the Sheriff’s Department, your ethical stance on the issues, and your vision for the future of Orange County law enforcement prompted this endorsement. We look forward to your success and to working with you for many years to come.”
The OCAA represents approximately 500 employed attorneys in a variety of offices from Orange County including the attorneys from the offices of District Attorney, County Counsel, Public Defender, Alternate Defender, Associate Defender and Child Support Services.
The election for Sheriff will be in conjunction with California’s Statewide Primary election on June 5, 2018.
